Plan ‘C’ Child Dental Treatment Costs

As a guide some approximate treatment costs are shown below:

  • Initial Appointment £44.55 (£25.30 children under 6 years old)
  • Child Dental Health Review (for those on Practice Membership Plan “C”) No Charge
  • Fillings £66.14 per baby tooth (normal rates apply for adult teeth)
  • Diagnostic X-rays (for those on a Practice Membership Plan “C”) No Charge
  • All other X-rays from £12.29
  • Extractions £63.01 per tooth
  • For each additional tooth extracted at the same visit £42.78 per tooth
  • Further Oral Hygiene Sessions £69.31
  • Preventative Fissure Sealant £38.50 per tooth

Option 1 - Plan A

Ombersley Dental Care Scheme

A direct-debit payment plan of £18.50 per month / £222.00 annually

This Covers

  • A single annual dental health review comprising an examination, disclose, scale and any investigative intra-oral X-rays required. If interim visits are advised by the dentist due to increased risk of disease then these will incur an additional charge.
  • 20% discount on any treatment.
  • All work is guaranteed for 12 months.

Provided that you have attended for your annual review and any necessary treatment appointments, the plan also qualifies you for:-

  • free assessment of emergencies and dental pain, with any temporary treatment required, carried out at the practice during normal surgery hours.
  • free emergency call-out and any temporary treatment for pain relief by an Ombersley Family Dental Practice dentist (or the on-call dentist) when the surgery is closed (up to £120 reimbursed for any fees required by the on-call dentist for temporary treatment).
  • up to £120 reimbursed for temporary treatment in an emergency when you are out of the area.
  • up to £200 reimbursed for temporary treatment in an emergency whilst abroad.

Itemised receipts will be required for reimbursement of fees.

Option 2 - Registration

An annual direct-debit registration fee of £58.00

This does not include

All routine examinations, discloses, scales or any other treatments will be charged for in full.

It does not entitle you to any discounts (unlike Option 1 which provides 20% discount).

All work is guaranteed for 12 months.

Provided that you have attended for your annual review and any necessary treatment appointments, the plan also qualifies you for:-

  • FREE assessment of emergencies and dental pain, with any temporary treatment required, carried out at the practice during normal surgery hours.
  • FREE emergency call-out and any temporary treatment for pain relief by an Ombersley Family Dental Practice dentist (or the on-call dentist) when the surgery is closed (up to £120 reimbursed for any fees required by the on-call dentist for temporary treatment).
  • Up to £120 reimbursed for temporary treatment in an emergency when you are out of the area.
  • Up to £200 reimbursed for temporary treatment in an emergency whilst abroad.

Option 3 - Plan B - For denture users

Ombersley Dental Care Scheme

A reduced direct-debit payment plan for those with complete dentures £6.50 per month / £78.00 annually

This covers:

An annual examination.

20% discount on new dentures.

FREE repair on dentures made by the practice within the previous 3 years.

Up to £50.00 reimbursed for a denture repair required when out of the area including whilst abroad on denture made by the practice within the previous 3 years.

Itemised Receipts will be required for reimbursement of fees.

Option 4 - Plan C - Child Scheme

Ombersley Dental Care Scheme

0-5 years (inclusive) No Charge

(when child’s review appointment is combined with that of a Parent / Guardian’s at the Practice).

The plan provides for this age group:

  • One regular annual examination, provided that the appointment is combined with that of a parent/guardian.

Provided that the child has attended for the annual review & any necessary treatment appointments the plan also includes:-

  • FREE emergency temporary treatment at the practice within surgery hours.
  • Out of hours emergency temporary treatment for pain relief at the practice or by the on-call dentist.

6-17 years (inclusive)

(or those under 6 without a parent / legal guardian as a member of the practice).

A direct-debit payment plan for this group at
£8.30 per child per month
£99.60 per child per year

The plan provides for this age group:

  • One regular 12-monthly examination (two 6-monthly examinations for 6-14 (approx) year-olds including assessment of the developing dentition).
  • Teeth disclosing and oral hygiene education at each visit.
  • Any diagnostic intra-oral x-rays required.

Provided the child has attended for the regular review & any necessary treatment appointments the plan also includes:-

  • FREE emergency temporary treatment at the practice within surgery hours.
  • Out of hours emergency temporary treatment for pain relief at the practice or by the on-call dentist.

Temporary Treatment is treatment that eliminates the immediate problem, pain or discomfort. It does not include provision of actual treatment that you would expect to pay for with us (fillings, extractions, repositioning prosthetic item etc) unless this is work that would have been completed under warranty.

Before Joining the Child Plan

We would book an initial appointment to introduce each child and parent to the Practice, take a medical history, discuss previous dental experiences & expectations and (for those over 6 years of age) give an introduction to the preventive care programme.

Our dentist, Mrs Andy Wright, would then carry out a thorough clinical examination, take any x-rays that may be necessary and discuss any treatment that may be required.

Option 5 - Plan Y - For Young Adults

Ombersley Dental Care Scheme for those aged 18 to 23 inclusive

A direct-debit payment plan of £14.40 per month / £172.80 annually

This covers:

  • A single annual dental health review comprising an examination, disclose, scale and any investigative intra-oral X-rays required. If interim visits are advised by the dentist due to increased risk of disease then these will incur an additional charge.
